Natalie Newling, Director
Natalie has been teaching Dance for over 32 years. Her love and passion for Dance began at 7 years of age when she dreamed of having her own studio.
Natalie has trained extensively in Ballet, Tap, and Jazz. She has a wealth of experience in teaching dance, coaching students for eisteddfods and organising charity events.
Her goal is to foster a warm, welcoming and fun studio where students not only learn excellence in Dance but are able to use their creative talents to help others.
Jess’s love for Dance began at 4 years old where she started training in Ballet. Throughout her childhood, Jess continued to peruse Dance and trained in many other styles including jazz, tap, ballet contemporary, hip hop, theatre and Latin.
She completed her Bachelor of Dance at Wesley Institute (now Excelsior College) and was lucky enough to train in New York at the Broadway Dance Centre and learn from world known choreographers and dancers.
Portia England began her training at a young age at RG Dance. Following this she studied at The Village on Broadway, where she performed in many competitions and concerts. She achieved a musical theatre scholarship at The Mcdonald College where she studied all forms of dance, singing and acting throughout high school. She has performed in multiple shows including Dance Editorials “Love is Love” chosen as an Elite Protege, The McDonald College’s “Grease” playing Rizzo and overseas shows in both China and America. She has a passion for creating and performing and hopes to pass her knowledge, experience and skills onto her students.
Portia currently attends ED5 International where she will receive her Diploma of Performing Arts in 2020.
Jess started dancing when she was 3 years old and has been dancing ever since in jazz, contemporary, acro and has completed RAD ballet exams. This has led her to compete and perform at many Eisteddfods in troupes and solos.
Jess has a passion for dancing and teaching to encourage young children to do their best and achieve their goals. Jess teaches ballet at Dance Element Studios.
Brooke began her training at studying classical ballet (RAD), jazz, musical theatre and contemporary. In 2012, Brooke received a Classical scholarship to attend the McDonald College of Performing Arts, balancing academics and dance Brooke completed all her RAD exams with Distinctions. Brooke was successfully chosen as a contemporary dance major with the New Zealand School of Dance and mentored by a company member of the Royal New Zealand Ballet. In September 2015, Brooke began studying full time at Brussels International Ballet in Belgium. Brooke currently attends University at the Australian College of Physical Education studying a Bachelor of Dance Education. Brooke aims to encourage and assist in achieving her students dreams.
Vivienne has been dancing since the age of 5 and began training in the Cecchetti Ballet method as well as the styles of lyrical, contemporary, jazz, hip hop and arco. She has been fortunate to be taught by many outstanding teachers and role models who have passed on their knowledge and passion. Vivienne studied dance as part of the HSC ranking in the top performance band and received callbacks for Major Performance and Core Performance from the NSW department of education. She has performed as a soloist and troupe dancer for many years, competing and successful in many eisteddfods across NSW.
Vivienne is currently expanding her dance training and regularly takes part in performances and shows.
Merryn has been teaching at Dance Element Studios since 2009. She has been dancing since the age of five and has trained in various styles of dance such as ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap and contemporary. She holds a Bachelor of Dance majoring in Jazz from Wesley Institute and has recently completed her Bachelor of Teaching (Birth to five years) from Macquarie University.
Merryn loves teaching children and especially enjoys introducing children to the world of dance.
Rebecca has danced with Dance Elements Studio for the past 9 years and has trained in many styles including jazz, contemporary, hip hop and ballet. She has completed RAD ballet exams to an advanced level as well as competing in solo, duo and group eisteddfods. Rebecca has also been selected for three years running to perform HSC dance compositions.
She teaches jazz and ballet with Dance Element Studios.
Krystelle started dancing at 3 years old and has achieved distinctions in her Pre-Primary to Advanced 1 Cecchetti and RAD Ballet Exams. At the age of 8 was the youngest individual to be awarded a Cecchetti Scholarship and the only individual to ever receive this scholarship twice. She appeared in The Queensland Ballet’s production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and gained a position in The Australian Ballet Interstate Junior Programme. She was a member of the Full Time Dance Programme at Tanya Pearson’s Classical Coaching Academy where she danced with the Sydney City Youth Ballets in productions such as Cinderella and The Nutcracker. Krystelle has taught RAD ballet exams for many years and graduated from The Australian College of Physical Education with a Bachelor of Applied Dance. Krystelle is also a personal trainer, earning her Certificate 3 and 4 in Fitness.
Alani began dancing at a young age. She has successfully performed in countless Dance Element Studios showcases including solos, duets and troupes. She has achieved outstanding results in eisteddfods over the years and is highly skilled in contemporary, jazz and ballet.
Alani began teaching contemporary last year and has proven that she is a passionate, caring and talented member of our Dance Element Studios staff.
Amy started dancing at age 5 and has trained in many different styles including jazz, hip hop, ballet and contemporary. Amy is currently studying Dance & Performance at Macquarie University.
She has a passion for teaching and loves being able to help children grow and learn in their love of dance.
