Dance Instructors

Dance Element Studios has experienced, committed and caring dance teachers. They excel at making their classes fun and challenging.

Natalie Newling

Director

Natalie has been teaching dance for over 35 years. Her love and passion for dance began at seven years of age when she dreamed of having her own studio.

Natalie has trained extensively in Ballet, Tap, and Jazz. She has a wealth of experience in teaching dance, coaching students for eisteddfods and organising charity events. Her goal is to foster a warm, welcoming and fun studio where students not only learn excellence in dance but are able to use their creative talents to help others.

 

Amy Godley

Co-ordinator and Teacher

Amy started dancing at age five and has trained in many different styles including Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop and Ballet. She has performed and competed with Dance Element Studios for the last 10 years.

She has a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Dance and Performance from Macquarie University where she studied various styles of dance and learned extensive performance genres including dance, theatre, music and much more. Amy loves to teach kids and help them develop their dance skills and technique. As a teacher she hopes to help her students grow in their love of dance and assist them in achieving their dreams and goals.

 

Hannah Fowler

Hannah is a RAD registered Ballet teacher and qualified member of the Rambert Grades syllabi. Hannah started dancing from  an early age and began full time classical training at Tanya Pearson Classical Coaching Academy in 2011. Whilst training under Tanya Pearson, she performed with the Sydney City Youth Ballet in numerous productions of CinderellaThe Polar Express and The Nutcracker. In 2013, Hannah moved to Scotland to further her dance education and achieved a Bachelor of Arts in Dance with First Class Honours. During this time, she gained experience dancing all over Scotland with a professional touring ballet company, performing in works such at Romeo and Juliet and Swan Lake.

 

In 2014 Hannah participated in the prestigious Genée International Ballet Competition in Antwerp, Belgium, an achievement which remains a career highlight of hers. Since graduating in 2016, Hannah returned to Australia and began developing her career as a dance teacher and choreographer. In 2018 Hannah relocated to London, living as a freelance dancer and teacher. Early 2020 Hannah was chosen to perform in a revived creation of Jenufer with the Royal Opera, in Covent Garden. Since returning to Australia, Hannah is excited to share her passion and experience with her students.

 

Annabelle Husband

Annabelle has been dancing since the young age of six, training in all aspects of dance, drama, acrobatics and singing for 12 years. She has competed as a soloist in The Ultimate Dance Challenge, Dance Defi, Adrenaline, I.R.B.D and Energy Express Eisteddfod, being lucky enough to place in all competitions. Annabelle has extensive training in Jazz, Broadway Jazz, Commercial Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Tap, Musical Theatre, Ballet (RAD), Acrobatics, Singing and Drama.

Annabelle has been lucky enough to be mentored by some of Australia’s top choreographers such as Blake John Wood, Stephen Tannos, Lauren Elton, Nathan Wright, Mitch Winter and Dani Evrat. These accredited choreographers inspired her to pursue her dream to be a professional dancer and a choreographer. Annabelle has had many wonderful opportunities to dance professionally including RnB Fridays After Party dancer, featured dancer for Allianz Stadium Grand Opening and featured dancer and roving performer for Sydney’s Open for Lunch Event

Annabelle completed her Cert IV in Dance performance with Village Nation Performing Arts Studio in 2021. Annabelle was selected by Jacqui Howard, Briden Starr and Lisa Graham-Wilson as a singing soloist for her 2021 Village graduation performance. Annabelle then furthered her training, completing a Diploma of Musical Theatre in 2022.

She has become a well rounded dancer, singer, performer but has shown incredible skills as a choreographer and is ready to share her passion with her students. Annabelle challenges her students to be the best they can be, gently encouraging them to work outside their comfort zone and try new skills.

 

 

Ryan Raymond

Ryan is currently studying a Diploma of Performing Arts at Brent Street. He has been dancing since he was 10 years old and since then has obtained his Cert IV in Dance at Brent Street.

Ryan’s dream is to be able to travel the world and visit as many countries as possible while performing. Ryan has competed at a variety of eisteddfods and competitions such as, Hip Hop international, Battlegrounds (Nationals) and winning Dance Life Nationals in 2017.

Ryan loves teaching students that are energetic and love to have a good time.

 

Rebecca Morrison

Rebecca has danced with Dance Element Studios for the past ten years and has trained in many styles including Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop and Ballet. She has completed RAD ballet exams to an advanced level as well as competing in solo, duo and troupe eisteddfods. Rebecca has also been selected for three years running to perform HSC dance compositions and received first place in Dance during her senior years at high school. She teaches Jazz, Ballet and Lyrical with Dance Element Studios.

 

 

Jess Feltham

Jess started dancing at the age of three in Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary, Tap and Acro. She has completed RAD ballet exams to a high level and competed in countless troupe and solo eisteddfods achieving exceptional results. Jess has been chosen to take place in many Year 12 HSC compositions and has also been regularly selected to perform in School Spectacular. Jess teaches Jazz at Dance Element Studios.

 

Charlotte Dunn

Assistant Teacher

Charlotte has been dancing since she was five and has competed in gymnastics for eight years. She studies Ballet, Contemporary and Jazz at Dance Element Studios and loves working with young children. Charlotte has already built a beautiful rapport with her students and enjoys assisting at the studio and at our school-based classes.

 

Oliver Bultitude

Assistant Teacher

Oliver is an assistant teacher who has been training under the guidance of Amy, our DES Co-ordinator and Georgia. He assists at our Wahroonga Adventist studio with Infants Move and Groove and Musical Theatre. Oliver has been dancing since he was three and will be performing in his tenth Dance Element Studios showcase this year. He loves hip hop and has developed as a dancer under the leadership of Lyndon Frykberg and Ryan Raymond.
